As reported by Jack McCarthy at the Chicago Tribune, Dunleavy missed Thursday's game against the Atlanta Hawks after he slipped in practice on a wet spot and irritated a knee injury. Coach Tom Thibodeau said that Dunleavy should be ready to play today at the Advocate Center.
“He did everything; he’s fine. The one good thing is that we have a lot of depth there so we’ll see how he feels. (But) he should be fine."With Dunleavy out of the lineup on Thursday, Doug McDermott stepped up and played 27 minutes and had four points, nine rebounds and two assists.
Dunleavy is in his 12th NBA season out of Duke. The veteran has played for the Warriors, Pacers, Bucks and Bulls. In his first season with the Bulls, he averaged 11.3 points and 4.2 rebounds per game. Dunleavy has career averages of 11.9 points, 4.5 rebounds and 2.3 assists per game.
