Cardinals Injury Report: Carson Palmer, Paul Fanaika, Andre Ellington

By on 10/04/2014 05:00:00 PM

The Arizona Cardinals head into their week five contest with the Denver Broncos, once again, without their starting quarterback Carson Palmer. Palmer has been ruled out as he continues to battle his nagging shoulder injury, forcing Drew Stanton back under center once again on Sunday as SI.com reports.

Guard Paul Fanaika is battling an injured knee and is listed as questionable. According to Head Coach Bruce Ariens, via SI.com, Fanaika is expected to play after practicing on a limited basis on Wednesday and Friday.

Star running back Andre Ellington is still battling an injured left foot that he hurt in practice more than a month ago. ESPN.com reports he is still not 100%, but is expected to play and is officially listed as probable. Ellington said, “It’s a little frustrating because I can’t be myself all the time, I have been able to do some things. I’m still able to be a factor and that’s one thing that’s important to me.” The Broncos are giving up over 100 yards rushing per game so Ellington has a nice match up this week.

ILB Glenn Carson (ankle) has been ruled out after not practicing all week, with TE Rob Housler, OLB Alex Okafor, CB Patrick Peterson, DE Frostee Rucker and P Dave Zastudil are all probable according to the Cardinals official injury report.
