Celtics Injury Update: Gerald Wallace out for next two games

By on 10/15/2014 06:00:00 AM

The Boston Celtics enter tonight's game with a 2-2 record in the preseason. Following a season in which they won just 25 games, the Celtics look to improve in virtually every facet of the game. Offense was a particular problem as the Celtics averaged just 96.2 points per game last season. On the injury front, forward Gerald Wallace will miss the next two games. He's likely to return Sunday against the Brooklyn Nets.

Scott Souza, who covers the Celtics for MetroWest Daily News, tweeted the following update on Wallace.
With Wallace out, expect Green and Evan Turner to see more action at small forward against the Toronto Raptors tonight and the Philadelphia 76ers on Thursday night.

Wallace, in his 14th NBA season, averaged 5.1 points, 3.7 rebounds and 2.5 assists, in 58 games last season with the Celtics. The veteran forward has played for the Kings, Bobcats, Trail Blazers, Nets and Celtics and has career averages of 12.4 points and six rebounds per game.
