Celtics Injury Update: James Young listed as week to week

By on 10/09/2014 07:30:00 AM

After Boston Celtics rookie James Young limped through his first preseason game against the Philadelphia 76ers on Monday, head coach Brad Stevens said he could be out for the foreseeable future.
The 17th pick in the 2014 NBA Draft said he felt a few pops while stretching but played through the pain anyway, then said he couldn't walk the following morning. From ESPN Boston:
I'm still learning. I guess I should have talked to [team trainer] Ed [Lacerte] right away. ... I was just going off adrenaline, so I really couldn't feel it. The next day when I woke up, that's when I really felt it. It's kind of frustrating, but this stuff happens.
The 6' 6'' guard out of Kentucky posted 10 points, a steal and a block in 20 minutes against the Sixers.
