Chargers Injury Report: Keenan Allen, Malcom Floyd, Donald Brown

By on 10/11/2014 03:27:00 PM

The San Diego Chargers released their injury report on the team's website. Listed are a few key players' status for Sunday's game against the Oakland Raiders.

Keenan Allen (Quad) had limited participation in practice on Wednesday and Thursday, but was able to full participate in practice on Friday. His game status is listed as (Probable) for Sunday.

Malcom Floyd (Calf) was only able to have limited participation in practice this week. Floyd's game status is (Questionable) for this weeks game.

Donald Brown (Concussion) did not participate in practice at all this week. The running back's game status is (Out) for Sunday.

These are three important pieces to the Chargers' running and passing game. Allen looks like he will be able to play. Floyd may be more of a game time decision. Brown is definitely out for Sunday's game against the Raiders.

For fantasy football options, Branden Oliver will start for the Chargers at running back this week. He is coming off an excellent performance against the New York Jets, carrying the ball 19 times for 114 yards and one rushing touchdown, not to mention four receptions for 68 yards and one receiving touchdown. He has probably been gobbled up in most leagues, but worth a player search for sure.

Phillip Rivers might look to Eddie Royal more this week if Floyd is unable to play. I would expect the most output from Oliver and Gates this week.
