Cowboys Injury Report: Bruce Carter, Henry Melton

By on 10/05/2014 10:00:00 AM

With a victory today against the Texans, the Dallas Cowboys can improve their record to 4 – 1, marking the first time since 2011 that the team has been able to string together 4 straight wins:

The Cowboys’ final Week 5 Injury Report has six players listed this week. The good news is that four of the six players have been listed as probable and will likely take the field today.

One of those four players listed this week is Cowboys QB Tony Romo (Back). Despite not playing during Wednesday’s practice, Romo was back on the field for the next two. With Romo playing well to start the year, if he were to get injured and miss time it would be a shame.

Other than their QB, the Cowboys have three other players listed as probable for today’s matchup: LB Rolando McClain (Groin), WR Dez Bryant (Shoulder) and DE Anthony Spencer (Knee). When it comes to Bryant and McClain, both were healthy enough to participate in team practices all week. I would expect both to play today. As for Spencer, he was able to play limited minutes on both Wednesday and Thursday’s practices but come Friday was a DNP. That makes me think that he won’t be suiting up today..

Now for the players that defiantly won’t take the field today against the 3 – 1 Houston Texans. LB Bruce Carter (Thigh) has been ruled out after missing every practice this week. DT Henry Melton (Hamstring) on the other hand was limited during practice all week, which explains why the Cowboys have listed him as questionable.

Today’s game is scheduled for a 1:00 PM EST tip-off at the AT&T Stadium in Texas. With both teams looking to improve to 4 – 1, it's going to be a battle to the last whistle.
