Cowboys Injury Report: Dez Bryant, DeMarco Murray, Tony Romo

By on 10/18/2014 09:31:00 AM

The Dallas Cowboys released their injury report updating the participation of players throughout this week's practices.

Dez Bryant
(Shoulder) was a full participant in this week's practices and is listed as (Probable) for this week's game against the New York Giants.

Running back, DeMarco Murray (Illness), did not participate in Wednesday's practice. Murray was a full participant on Thursday and Friday's practices. His playing status for Sunday is listed as (Probable) and all signs point to him playing this week.

Tony Romo (Back/Ankle) did not participate in practice on Wednesday. The quarterback did return to practice on Thursday and was a full participant the rest of the week. Romo's status for this week's game is listed as (Probable), indicating he will start against the Giants.

The 3-3 Giants visit the 5-1 Cowboys this week in a divisional match-up. The Cowboys are coming off the high of beating the defending Super Bowl Champion, Seattle Seahawks. Meanwhile, the Giants are coming off a low after being shut out by the Philadelphia Eagles. Something has to give here. Both teams have something to prove, which makes for a great game.

The fantasy football outlook looks good in that all three players should play this weekend, barring any injury setbacks before game-time. Murray is having a big year, putting up what could be some recordbreaking numbers: 159 carries for 785 yards and six touchdowns.

Bryant is also having a nice year with 36 receptions for 439 yards and four touchdowns. Romo is sometimes overlooked as a top-rated quarterback in the NFL. He is completing passes at a 68% rate and has thrown 11 touchdowns to five interceptions in six games.
