During a surprising loss to the Washington Redskins on Monday night, the Dallas Cowboys sustained some big name injuries. Quarterback Tony Romo was hit hard and injured his back, causing him to miss a couple series before returning and linebacker Rolando McClain injured his shoulder in the loss. Tony Romo was unable to practice on Thursday, while McClain did return on a limited basis according to Rainer Sabin of

Romo, who is dealing with a deep contusion in his back, sat out practice for the second straight day Thursday and his availability for Sunday is in question. Calvin Wilkins on Twitter reports:

As for Rolando McClain, he returned to the Cowboys light practice on Thursday after missing Wednesday's workout as he attempts to recover from his shoulder injury.

During practice on Thursday, linebacker Bruce Carter left the workout after breaking his ring finger as reported by He says, however, he will be good to go this weekend; “I’ll be fine. They’re just going to use kind of like this splint I have now,” Carter said Thursday in the locker room. “Wrap it up and I should be fine. I don’t want no big club. I have to be able to get the interceptions. I always try to stay away from those.”

It is definitely worth monitoring Romo's status for this weekend as the Cowboys get closer to game time. If Romo is unable to go, Brandon Weeden will get the nod at quarterback for Dallas.
