Cowboys Injury Update: Tony Romo to get ribs examined

By on 10/13/2014 05:05:00 PM

The Dallas Cowboys' quarterback, Tony Romo, was hit hard by Seattle Seahawks' linebacker, Bobby Wagner, during the first quarter in yesterday's game. You could see he was in some pain. Romo was able to tough it out to lead the Cowboys to victory, as reported by David Moore from the Dallas Morning News.

The only good thing about the hit for Romo is that it was his ribs and not his surgically-repaired back. Taking a big hit anywhere is never good, but another back injury would probably spell doom for the Cowboys season. "My back is fine," Romo said. "I think my rib cartilage may have something to say about it, but we will see."

The Cowboys' signal caller was also sporting a limp at the post-game press conference. He had hurt his ankle later in the game."Yeah, a little rib thing and the ankle," Romo said. "We'll see. I've got to go through all of the junk tomorrow and figure it out. It has nothing to do with the back, though. All of this is gravy."

The 5-1 Cowboys are having a great season so far. Romo is benefiting from DeMarco Murray, who is putting up big-time numbers this season as a premier running back. The offense has been clicking and the biggest surprise is the Cowboys' defense. Beating the defending Super Bowl champions, the Seattle Seahawks, shocked a lot of people to say the least.
