Dolphins Injury Update: Knowshon Moreno hopes to return vs Packers

By on 10/09/2014 02:49:00 PM

The Miami Dolphins returned to practice this week after coming off of a bye week. The extra time off was definitely beneficial to Dolphins' running-back, Knowshon Moreno, as posted by Armando Selguero of the Miami Herald Blog.

Moreno has missed the previous three weeks with an elbow injury. He has been practicing with the team on a limited participation basis. The running back is hoping to play this Sunday against the Green Bay Packers. The team has not given any indication yet if Moreno will play this Sunday.

The Dolphins' running back was off to a nice start before being injured in Week 2 against the Buffalo Bills. Moreno's Week 1 debut with the Dolphins was very impressive, carrying the ball 24 times for 134 yards and one rushing touchdown.

Moreno is coming off of a very productive 2013 season with the Denver Broncos, carrying the ball 241 times for 1,038 yards and 10 rushing touchdowns. He was a big part of the Broncos' success last year, which is why he was a valuable free agent this off-season.

The Dolphins and Moreno are hoping he can play Sunday. For right now, it looks like it would probably be a game-time decision. The running back's status should continue to be updated as we move forward through the week.
