Ducks Injury Update: Prospect Stefan Noesen out four months with achilles injury

By on 10/23/2014 01:30:00 PM

Anaheim Ducks prospect and current Norfolk Admirals (AHL) winger Stefan Noesen will miss four months due to an achilles injury that was suffered last Saturday in a game against the Manchester Monarchs, according to Eric Stephens of the Orange County Register. Noesen's achilles injury happened when he was apparently cut by an opponent's skate.

Unfortunately for the Ducks organization and Noesen, this isn't the first injury the Plano, Texas native has suffered in his short career. Noesen tore his ACL and MCL last season after playing in only two games for Norfolk.

Noesen was a 2011 draft pick of the Ottawa Senators but was packaged along with veteran Jakob Silfverberg and a first round pick in the 2014 draft for eight year veteran and 2008-2009 Calder Trophy runner-up, Bobby Ryan.
