Eagles Injury Update: Darren Sproles suffers knee injury

By on 10/13/2014 12:35:00 PM

The Philadelphia Eagles had an impressive win last night against the New York Giants with a 27-0 shutout. The defense played a stellar game, and having DeMeco Ryans able to play only fortified the defense. Unfortunately, everyone did not come out of last night's game healthy.

Darren Sproles
left the game early last night with a left knee injury, as reported by Zach Berman of the Philadelphia Inquirer. Sproles was injured on a short run, in which his left leg buckled under him. The running back angrily left the field after the play.

Sproles may be one of the smallest players in the league, but pound for pound, he is one of the toughest. The good news is that he was able to walk off the field on his own without any assistance.

The Eagles running back will be more thoroughly examined moving forward. Sproles has been a great addition to the offense and special teams this year. If the running back has to miss any significant time, it will surely have an impact on the Eagles' season.
