Flames Injury Report: Jiri Hudler Likely Out Tonight With The Flu

By on 10/11/2014 03:00:00 PM

Early reports from the Daily Faceoff have the Calgary Flames without their center Jiri Hudler tonight as he is suffering from the flu.  The Flames are in St. Louis tonight for their game against the Blues.

Hudler was unable to participate in practice this morning and coach Bob Hartley is not expected to have him tonight. Hudler has been active in the first two games of the season for Calgary and he has scored a goal in each game. Hudler helped Calgary earn their first win of the season against Edmonton on Thursday (5-2). This is Hudler’s third full season in Calgary after spending the duration of his NHL career with the Detroit Red Wings.

Hudler’s scoring and passing skills are needed as the Flames look to build momentum early in the 2014-2015 season. Calgary is considering Hudler day-to-day and barring any setbacks, he should return to the lineup in Nashville on Tuesday (10/14) for their game against the Predators.
