Flyers Injury Update: Braydon Coburn Out Of Lineup Tonight

By on 10/09/2014 07:00:00 PM

Prior to warmups for Thursday's game, the Philadelphia Flyers announced that defenseman Braydon Coburn is out of the lineup tonight due to a lower body injury. Coburn suffered this injury during last nights 2-1 defeat in Boston where he had over twenty minutes on ice and a +1 rating.

As posted on the Flyers site, GM Ron Hextall announced that Coburn would miss tonight’s game against New Jersey. This will be the first time in over a year that Braydon Coburn will have missed a game. He played in all 82 regular season games during the 2013-2014 season.

Since the 2007-2008 season, Coburn has been a reliable player, playing in a minimum of 78 games in six out of seven seasons. The Flyers’ next two games are home games on Saturday against the Montreal Canadiens and then Tuesday against the Anaheim Ducks.  The team will be monitoring Coburn’s recovery in time for either of the upcoming games.
