Samuel Morin is the Flyers’ first round draft pick from the 2013. During the third period of Sunday nights game with Oceanic, Morin was hit in the face with a slapshot and left the ice immediately. Video of the injury first shared by Broad Street Hockey is here. Samuel Morin was taken to the hospital after leaving the ice and Flyers General Manager Ron Hextall confirmed that he has a broken jaw earlier today.
Samuel Morin has spent three seasons in the QMJHL and was close to making the opening day Philadelphia Flyer squad but was among the final cuts prior to the regular season began. As a defenseman, Morin had a total of eleven goals and 28 assists last season (regular season and playoffs) for the Oceanic.
