Giants Injury Report: Rashad Jennings, Robert Ayers, Jon Beason

By on 10/10/2014 07:30:00 PM

The New York Giants have an opportunity to move up in the NFC East standings with a road win over the Philadelphia Eagles on “Sunday Night Football.” While the Giants enter the game relatively healthy, they do have a couple of new names appearing on their final Week 6 injury report:

Defensive end Robert Ayers was added late in the week after missing practice on Friday with neck spasms and is listed as questionable. Ayers has played well this season and could be an important factor against a beat up Philadelphia offensive line.

Running back Rashad Jennings will be unable to play on Sunday after spraining his MCL last week against the Atlanta Falcons. Rookie Andre Williams will see an increase in workload while Jennings recovers.

Linebacker Spencer Paysinger is out with a hamstring injury. Fellow linebacker Jon Beason is slowly recovering from a foot injury that has kept him out for the entire season, but is still listed as questionable for Sunday.

Cornerback Dominique Rodgers-Cromartie is expected to play with ankle and hamstring injuries, but was limited in practice all week and didn't look quite at full strength against Atlanta.

Punter Steve Weatherford was limited in practice but is listed as probable.

A win would move New York to 4-2 and a potential tie for first in the NFC East. The health of Ayers and Rodgers-Cromartie will be critical factors in the Giants' ability to slow down the Philadelphia offense.
