Hurricanes Injury Update: Patrick Dwyer Suffers Lower Body Injury

By on 10/12/2014 03:45:00 PM

Carolina Hurricanes right winger Patrick Dwyer was unable to finish last nights game against the New York Islanders as he suffered a lower body injury. The Hurricanes official Twitter account shared this update mid game. Carolina’s late game surge fell short as they lost the latter half of a back to back to the Islanders 4-3.

Early in the preseason, Patrick Dwyer suffered a lower body injury that caused him to miss some time. There is no confirmation currently that he re-aggravated the same injury. Coach Bill Peters had no update on Dwyer after the game. Through two games, Dwyer had yet to break through with a goal or an assist. Carolina is still trying to secure their first win of the season. Their next game is on Tuesday night in Raleigh against the Buffalo Sabres.

Patrick Dwyer will have three days to recover and final determination of his status will probably be made after morning skate on Tuesday.
