By on 10/18/2014 10:30:00 AM

The Utah Jazz fell to the Los Angeles Clippers last night by the score of 101-97. The loss was the first for the Jazz in five preseason games. Coming off a 25-win season in which the Jazz were 29th in scoring at 95 points per game, the Jazz are off to a strong start in hopes to gain momentum heading into the regular season. On the injury front, forward Trevor Booker, who came over from the Washington Wizards, left the game with a sprained right ankle and did not return.

Abel Cheung  via Wikimedia Commons reported that Booker left Friday's game with a sprained right foot following a tussle with Blake Griffin. Booker finished with four points, three rebounds and three assists in 17 minutes of action. Booker noted that he feels a little sore but should be fine within a few days.

Booker, in his 5th NBA season out of Clemson, is averaging 6.4 points and 3.2 rebounds per game in the preseason. Last year, he averaged 6.8 points and 5.3 rebounds in 21 minutes per game. Booker played his first four NBA seasons with the Wizards and has career averages of 6.4 points and 5.1 rebounds per game.
