Kings Injury Update: Ben McLemore recieves stiches following collision during Friday's game

Sacramento Kings sophomore guard Ben McLemore has received five stitches after colliding with the Lakers' Wayne Ellington during Sacramento's recent preseason contest against Los Angeles. The injury occurred in the fourth quarter of the Kings' 93-92 win at the MGM Grand Garden Arena in Las Vegas. The contest, the seventh and final preseason game for Sacramento, saw McLemore score 3 points on 1-7 shooting before leaving midway through the fourth.

McLemore left the court after he began bleeding from above his right eyebrow and it was soon revealed by the team's official twitter feed that he would need stitches.
The Kansas product also underwent a precautionary concussion test, which he passed. Although in obvious discomfort following the collision, McLemore appeared to be in good spirits the next day.
While McLemore is expected to be the opening day starter at Shooting Guard for the Kings, it was apparent during the preseason that Sacramento is going to give both McLemore and rookie Nik Stauskas on the court during the regular season. The acquisition of Stauskas leads many to believe that McLemore is on a short leash, and if he doesn't perform early on in the season, his days in Sacramento may be numbered.
