Kings Injury Update: Jake Muzzin is Cleared to Play Thursday

By on 10/22/2014 05:35:00 PM

The Los Angeles Kings will welcome defenseman Jake Muzzin back to the lineup on Thursday. Per Rich Hammond from the Orange County Register , Kings’ GM Dean Lombardi stated that Muzzin is scheduled to return on Thursday against the Buffalo Sabres.

Jake Muzzin has not played in the regular season as he suffered an upper body injury during the preseason. During the 2013-2014 season, Muzzin played in 76 games, scored five goals and had 19 assists. During the Stanley Cup Playoffs, Jake Muzzin continued his strong play and was an integral part in the Kings’ strong defense performance throughout their run to the championship. Muzzin’s return will help alleviate the loss of Slava Voynov who was suspended indefinitely on Monday.

The Kings have won four games in a row and are currently 4-1-1, one point behind first place Anaheim in the Pacific division.
