Lakers Injury Update: Kobe Bryant's Big Comeback

By on 10/02/2014 08:13:00 AM

Los Angeles Lakers shooting guard Kobe Bryant has finally been participating in team scrimmages according to—his first full-contact practice in around 10 months. After two hours and 15 minutes of hard work on the court, Kobe didn't need to say much:
I felt normal. I felt like myself. That's a good thing.
Now that Bryant says he's feeling better, it's time to gel with his new cast of teammates—a topic he was willing to expand on:
The guys that we have on the team now are so much younger. It requires a little different touch. Most of the guys, I don't know personally, so it takes some time to get to know them a little bit, get to know their personalities. In the past, I knew all the guys. Most of the guys were veterans and had been in the league for a while and I was familiar with them a little bit more. These guys, not so much, so it's going to take a little time to get to know them.
Not only is the Laker superstar already expected to play in all 82 games this season, but the Black Mamba also wants to play in all eight preseason games to get his legs under him and timing ready.
The All-Star guard has averaged 25.5 points, 4.8 assists and 5.3 rebounds throughout his 18-year career.
