Lakers Injury Updates: Steve Nash did not participate in Monday's practice

By on 10/14/2014 10:30:00 AM

The Los Angeles Lakers lost on Sunday to the Golden State Warriors by the score of 116-75. The loss dropped the Lakers to 1-2 on the preseason. Robert Sacre and Wayne Ellington each had 12 points in the loss. Guard Steve Nash played just 12 minutes and finished with three points and missed all five shots from the floor. Nash was on the sideline on Monday during practice, an all too familiar sight for the Lakers over the past two seasons.

Mike Trudell, who covers the Lakers for, tweeted the following on Nash.
The reason for Nash missing practice was undisclosed, but he is listed as day-to-day. Jeremy Lin and Jordan Clarkson missed the game against the Warriors, so the Lakers are currently thin at the point guard position.

Nash averaged 6.8 points on just 38.3 percent shooting from the floor and 5.7 assists per game.  The 18-year veteran out of Santa Clara has played for the Suns, Mavericks and Lakers and has career averages of 14.3 points and 8.5 assists per game.
