Lightning Injury Update: Ryan Callahan suffers lower-body injury, did not return to game against Oilers

The Tampa Bay Lightning lost forward Ryan Callahan during the game Monday night against the Edmonton Oilers. He was diagnosed with a lower-body injury and did not return to the game.

The Lightning are supposed to play the Calgary Flames on Tuesday night. It is said that Callahan would have to have a 'miraculous' recovery in order to play the game.

Callahan is being looked at further. As of right now, there is no update on the injury or timetable he will be out for.

Earlier this morning the Tampa Bay Lightning recalled Mike Blunden from Syracuse to fill in for the injured they have no extra forwards left (Killorn also injured).
So far this season with the Lightning, Callahan played six games, has three goals and two assists.
