Lions Injury Update: Reggie Bush, Calvin Johnson are inactive for today's game

By on 10/12/2014 12:16:00 PM

The Lions have made Calvin Johnson and Reggie Bush inactive for today's game, as reported by Conor Orr from Around the NFL.

The Detroit Lions' offense has basically been without Calvin Johnson for the past couple of weeks. Johnson has been used as a decoy, but his high ankle sprain isn't getting any better.

The Lions are at the Minnesota Vikings today in a divisional match-up. The team will look to running back Joique Bell and wide receiver Golden Tate to step up. Tate can continue his hot streak over the last two weeks, since he has hauled in 15 receptions for 250 yards and one touchdown.

Another up-and-comer on offense is rookie tight end, Eric Ebron, who will most likely get more targets this week with Bush and Johnson's absence in the passing game.

The Lions will, as they always do every week, look to Matthew Stafford to lead them to a victory. Stafford has had an up-and-down season so far, only throwing six touchdowns and four interceptions. The lack of throwing touchdowns directly relates to Johnson not being healthy in the past few weeks.
