Lions Injury Update: Reggie Bush plans to play Sunday in London

By on 10/24/2014 11:35:00 AM

The Detroit Lions' running back, Reggie Bush (Ankle), plans to play this Sunday in London, despite missing practices all week, as posted on SI wire.

Bush plans to play Sunday even though he didn't practice on Thursday and Friday due to a sprained ankle. Bush told this to Dave Birkett of the Detroit Free Press.

The ankle injury has been an ongoing thing for the past three weeks. Bush injured his ankle against the Buffalo Bills in a Week 5 loss. He was unable to play in Week 6 against the Minnesota Vikings. Last week against the New Orleans Saints, he was barely used carrying the ball four times and had five receptions for a combined total of 32 yards.

This year has been a nightmare so far for Bush and his fantasy football owners. His stats over the six games he has played are 49 carries for 171 yards and one touchdown, along with 25 receptions for 164 yards. Bush is still a hit or miss for fantasy owners this week. Owners should beware!

The Lions' offense has been bitten by the injury bug this year. The team has been without Calvin Johnson for a couple of weeks and it could be longer. Bush has not been 100% healthy this year, and Joique Bell has also been banged up this season; not to mention losing Joseph Fauria to an apparent dog walking injury. Despite all of this, the Lions are 5-2 and sit on top of the NFC North. They are tied with the Green Bay Packers. If the Lions can get everyone back relatively healthy, it could give them the momentum needed for a playoff run.
