Panthers Injury Update: Jonathan Stewart returns to practice

By on 10/10/2014 05:30:00 PM

The Carolina Panthers running back situation has been in shambles all season. Heading into week six they may get a little bit of a break though. Although Mike Tolbert is out until at least week 13, and DeAngelo Williams has been ruled out for the second straight game, Jonathan Stewart did return to practice this week and may play on Sunday.

Steve Reed on Twitter reported:
David Newton of ESPN.com reports that Stewart practiced on Thursday and Friday on a limited basis and coach Ron Rivera said Stewart looked good on Friday. He also reports that Stewart will be a game-time decision as he continues to deal with the sprained knee, but he likely won't play.

In his absence, Darrin Reaves, Fozzy Whittaker and Chris Ogbonnaya will available out of the backfield for the Panthers.
