Patriots Injury Report: Alfonzo Dennard, Jamie Collins, Dont'a Hightower

By on 10/04/2014 06:00:00 PM

Following a rare blowout loss, the New England Patriots will have another challenge in Week 5 when they host the Cincinnati Bengals on “Sunday Night Football.”

New England enters the game in relatively good health, but could be without a couple of key players. Only two players will be out for the Patriots for sure, but they need to fire on all cylinders against a Bengals team that has looked like one of the best in the NFL.

One of those players who will be unavailable is Cameron Fleming (finger), who started at right guard last week. New England has yet to find a successful combination along the offensive line and things won't get easier against the Cincinnati defense.

Cornerback Alfonzo Dennard is listed as questionable after missing last week's game with a shoulder injury. Nate Ebner, a backup corner who is critical to special teams, will be unable to play with a finger injury.

Linebackers Jamie Collins (thigh) and Dont'a Hightower (knee) are both listed as questionable and will be evaluated closer to game time. With defensive end Chandler Jones also questionable with a shoulder injury, New England's front seven could be thin on Sunday.

Rookie defensive end Dominique Easley also appears on the injury report with a knee problem and is listed as questionable. That has to be concerning for the Patriots, as Easley suffered two torn ACLs in college.

Rob Gronkowski continues to be listed as probable on the injury report as a formality. While Gronkowski likely isn't at full strength after tearing his ACL and MCL last December, he will play on Sunday.
