Penguins Injury Update: Pascal Dupuis Returns to Practice the Day After Leaving Ice on a Stretcher

By on 10/17/2014 04:08:00 PM

Pittsburgh Penguins forward Pascal Dupuis returned to practice today, less than 24 hours after leaving the ice on a stretcher. The USA Today is reporting that Dupuis participated in conditioning activities with trainers during the Friday morning skate.

Pascal Dupuis was cross-checked in front of the Stars net by Alex Goligoski. While on the ice, he was then hit in the neck or upper back area by teammate Kris Letang’s shot. Video of the injury is here. Dupuis remained on the ice for approximately four minutes before placed on a stretcher and taken back to the locker room for treatment. Friday morning, Dupuis was cleared by the Penguins’ medical staff to play and he spent approximately twenty minutes on the ice shooting pucks.

There is an outside chance that Pascal Dupuis could play against the New York Islanders on Saturday evening. Through three games, Dupuis has one goal and three assists.
