Drummond might have injured his foot while playing for Team USA in this year's FIBA Basketball World Cup. Drummond, didn't receive much playing time, but still contributed to Team USA winning gold. Drummond scored 24 points in 46 minutes throughout the tournament, playing in eight of Team USA's nine games. He was the only player not to play in all nine games.

Drummond is taking on a leadership role with the Pistons this year, hoping to lead his team to the playoffs for the first time in his career. After averaging 13.5 points and 13.2 rebounds per game last season, the 21-year-old has become a household name in the NBA. Many expect him to take an even bigger leap this season, possibly garnering all-star consideration.
