Raiders Injury Update: Nick Roach out for the season

By on 10/09/2014 08:35:00 PM

The Oakland Raiders have learned they will be without the services of middle linebacker, Nick Roach, for the remainder of the season, as reported by Chris Wesseling of Around the NFL.

Roach suffered a concussion in a pre-season game on August 22nd and has missed the first four regular season games. Roach is still experiencing concussion symptoms, which is putting his professional football career in jeopardy.

Roach proved to be a leader and very durable in 2013 by playing every defensive snap. The Raiders desperately could use his leadership on a struggling defense. The middle linebacker is signed with the team through the 2016 season, and he is scheduled to make 2.8 million for next season.

The news just keeps getting worse for the Raiders' franchise at this point. The team has already fired their head coach this season. The Raiders will now be led by interim head, coach Tony Sparano, for the remainder of the season. The Raiders team and franchise desperately need an overhaul from top to bottom.
