Seahawks Injury Update: Richard Sherman sits out Thursday practice

By on 10/31/2014 06:18:00 PM

The Seattle Seahawks remain with a number of injury concerns going into Week 9 and a game at home against the Oakland Raiders. A few new Seahawks did not practice yesterday and are listed as probable for Sunday's game.

The big names from Thursday's did not practice list was cornerback Richard Sherman with a back injury and defensive end Michael Bennett with a toe injury. Both players practiced fully on Friday, however, and are listed as probable for Sunday.

Cornerback Tharold Simon also sat out Thursday's practice with a knee injury, but was a full practice participant on Friday. He is also listed as probable for Sunday. Simon is arguably more of a concern than Sherman as he is replacing the injured Byron Maxwell, despite having recently come off of knee surgery.  The Seahawks remain thin at the cornerback position.

Friday saw backup center Stephen Schilling not practicing with a knee injury, as well as tackle Russell Okung with a calf injury and safety Kam Chancellor with a groin injury. All three are listed as questionable for Sunday. Center Max Unger was limited in practice and is also questionable.
