Sixers Injury Update: Michael Carter-Williams targeting return for Nov. 13

By on 10/24/2014 09:56:00 AM

Reigning Rookie of the Year Michael Carter-Williams of the Philadelphia 76ers has set a return date from his shoulder injury for November 13th, according to ESPN. The date could be pushed back, however, because GM Sam Hinkie seems determined to tank the franchise's season yet again.
The Sixers finished with the second-worst record overall in the league last year as Carter-Williams averaged 16.7 points, 6.3 assists and 6.2 rebounds—a loan bright spot for Sixers fans. The team finished with a 19-63 record, good for a .232 winning percentage.

The 76ers drafted Joel Embiid third overall in the 2014 NBA Draft who will likely miss the entire 2014-15 season due to a foot injury. Additionally, Nerlens Noel, who was last year's sixth pick in the draft has missed Philadelphia's last three preseason games due to an upper respiratory infection.
