Sixers Injury Update: Nerlens Noel is expected to play tonight

By on 10/16/2014 02:00:00 PM

Rookie Nerlens Noel is expected to be in the lineup tonight when the Philadelphia 76ers meet up with the Boston Celtics, despite missing Wednesday’s practice because of flu-like symptoms.

As reported by Dei Lynam, prior to Tuesday’s tip off against the Knicks, Noel admitted that he felt a little off.
“They took my temperature before the game,” Noel said. “It was 100 or low 100s. I can’t remember what it was, but I felt all right.”
I don’t know about you, but if I was running a temperature that high I’d be in bed with some soup, not posting 12 points and 11 rebounds along with some change. Obviously we haven’t seen much of Nerlens since being drafted last year, but it seems like he has put the injury behind him.

When asked about tonight’s game Noel seemed confident that he would be ready to go.

“I don’t think it will keep me out,” he said. “The trainers have given me medicine, so I am feeling better.”
