Stars Injury Update: Patrik Nemeth Out for the Season with Severe Arm Laceration

By on 10/20/2014 08:04:00 PM

Earlier today, Dallas Stars coach Lindy Ruff declared Patrik Nemeth out for the season with a severe arm laceration. Chris Peters from reported this update to Nemeth’s injury. Video of the gruesome injury can be seen here

Patrik Nemeth’s prognosis was originally for him to be out indefinitely as was reported a few days ago. This is considered a freak injury for Nemeth, but the duration that he will be out exemplifies how serious this injury turned out to be. The Dallas organization hopes for a full recovery for Nemeth with a return to the ice for the 2015-2016 season. Dallas will now focus on shoring up their weakened defensive unit as the team awaits the return of Sergei Gonchar who is still recovering from a fractured ankle.

Dallas’ next game is on Tuesday at home against the Vancouver Canucks.
