Texans Injury Report: Andre Johnson, Arian Foster

By on 10/04/2014 05:15:00 PM

The Houston Texans will battle the surging Dallas Cowboys this weekend with their two biggest play makers limping into the contest. Wide receiver Andre Johnson is battling an ankle injury and running back Arian Foster is still nursing a hamstring injury.

Andre Johnson said on Wednesday he was fine according to, but his questionable tag causes some concern. Johnson was only able to practice Thursday on a limited basis and sat out Wednesday's and Friday's practices. The Texans may be allowing the veteran to rest, but his status should be monitored closely as game time approaches.

Arian Foster played through his hamstring injury in week four and was not 100% healthy or effective. Foster practiced on a limited basis on Friday and is listed as probable, so he should be able to take the field Sunday.

The Texans have a number on players listed as probable, most notably DE J.J. Watt (thigh), LB Brian Cushing and CB Johnathan Joseph (knee) who are all expected to play. They are also still expected to be without first overall pick DE Jadeveon Clowney for at least the next two games.
