Texans Injury Report: Arian Foster, Andre Johnson, Brian Cushing

By on 10/09/2014 10:00:00 AM

The Houston Texans head into their week six match up after a short week to take on the Indianapolis Colts on Thursday Night. The Texans should have a full complement of players, although Andre Johnson is listed as questionable, and a whopping 18 players are listed as probable, including Arian Foster, Brian Cushing, Ryan Fitzpatrick and J.J. Watt according to the Texans official injury report.

Andre Johnson did not practice all week while he continues to battle an ankle injury. It is not uncommon for ailing veterans to not practice but still take the field on game day, as Johnson is expected to do as reported by Jon Benne of SB Nation. Johnson is still without a touchdown on the year and for fantasy owners, this injury has to be considered when creating their lineups.

Arian Foster (hamstring) and Brian Cushing (knee) are both listed as probable and are fully expected to play. This was probably another case of giving banged up vets extra time to rest. Foster did not practice Tuesday, but was a full participant on Wednesday, while Cushing did not practice all week.

Quarterback Ryan Fitzpatrick is also probable with a calf injury, but practiced in full on Wednesday and is expected to play. Star defensive end J.J. Watt is nursing a thigh injury and is probable, but there should be no concern about his availability.

Other notable players listed as probable are CB Johnathan Joseph (knee), RB Alfred Blue (knee), and P Shane Lechler (Left Hip).
