The number one overall pick of the 2014 draft, Jadeveon Clowney of the Houston Texans, was out and about, jogging and joking, with a group of middle school kids on Tuesday. He was in good spirits and appears to be recovering well. He was originally given a 4-6 week timetable for return from his torn meniscus on Sept. 7 and that timetable seems to be about right.

When asked by the media about his return he said he doesn't know exactly when, but is hoping in a few weeks according to Brian T. Smith of The highly touted prospect has been disappointed with the start of his NFL career after injuring the knee in a non-contact play. He says he has been in touch with his teammates saying, “I talk to the guys every day. I’m like, ‘Man, I’m kind of upset I ain’t getting to play with you guys right now,’ ” Clowney said.

Clowney was drafted to be the complement to superstar J.J. Watt. Watt has been doing a fantastic job for the 3-1 Texans. When Clowney does return, the Texans should have two of the most explosive defensive lineman in the game.
