Blackhawks Injury Update: Michal Rozsival could return to lineup Wednesday night

By on 10/14/2014 02:45:00 PM

The Chicago Blackhawks may be adding to their depth on defense as veteran Michal Rozsival is slated for a possible return on Wednesday when Chicago takes on the Calgary Flames. Rozsival missed the team's last two games with an upper-body injury.

According to Scott Powers of ESPNChicago.com, Rozsival began practicing with the team again on Monday and will be further evaluated today. Chicago already has seven healthy defensemen in their stables and head coach Joel Quenneville wasn't ready to declare his intentions regarding whether he would keep eight when Rozsival returns.

Rozsival is entering his 15th season in the NHL including his third in Chicago. The journeyman Czech defenseman has played 825 career games in stints with Pittsburgh, the New York Rangers, Phoenix (now Arizona) and Chicago. He has accumulated 280 career points with the majority of those coming from assists (215).
