Titans Injury Update: Bernard Pollard to miss remainder of season

By on 10/07/2014 10:30:00 AM

2013 seemed to be the year of the knee injury in the NFL. In 2014, the injury bug continues to bite with a rash of Achilles injuries. Safety Bernard Pollard of the Tennessee Titans is the latest causality of the injury bug. Pollard ruptured his Achilles tendon, which was confirmed on Monday, as reported by Gregg Rosenthal of NFL.com

Coach Ken Whisenhunt revealed the diagnosis on Monday and Bernard Pollard also took to Twitter:

Pollard is in his second season with the Titans. He was in Baltimore, Houston and Kansas City prior to joining the Titans over his nine year career. Pollard played well in 2013 for the Titans registering 77 solo tackles and 3 interceptions according to NFL.com.

Lets all wish Pollard the best of the luck in recovery and hope to see him back on the field in 2015.
