Vikings Injury Report: Sharrif Floyd, Chad Greenway, Cordarrelle Patterson

By on 10/19/2014 08:52:00 AM

The Minnesota Vikings again have a litany of injuries heading into Sunday's game against the Buffalo Bills, and head coach Mike Zimmer could have been added to the list after reportedly undergoing surgery for a kidney stone on Friday. Tight end Kyle Rudolph (groin) remains out for at least another game, but multiple others range from probable to out on Friday's official injury report.

Wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson has been bothered by a hip issue over the last couple games, but he was able to fully participate in practice all week and he is officially listed as probable.

Linebacker Chad Greenway has missed the last three games with a broken hand and fractured ribs. But practiced in full all week, and despite being listed as questionable he's tentatively expected to play on Sunday.

Defensive tackle Sharrif Floyd is dealing with an ankle injury that limited him all week. He is considered questionable. Elsewhere on the Vikings' defensive line, defensive tackle Linval Joseph (ankle) is listed as probable and defensive end Corey Wootton (back) has been declared out. If Floyd is inactive, Tom Johnson would see more action next to Joseph as Minnesota's three-technique defensive tackle. With Wootton out, rookie Scott Crichton may be active for the first time since Week 1.

Linebacker Gerald Hodges has also been declared out for Sunday's game with a hamstring injury. Audie Cole may see a much bigger role against the Bills, with Michael Mauti and rookie Brandon Watts also possibly in line for some snaps.

Mauti is among those listed as probable due to an illness, along with safety Harrison Smith (ankle), tight end Chase Ford (foot) and rookie cornerback Jabari Price (hamstring).
