Vikings Injury Update: Cordarrelle Patterson is 'fine'

By on 10/31/2014 09:00:00 AM

The Minnesota Vikings beat the Tampa Bay Buccaneers in overtime on Sunday, but wide receiver Cordarrelle Patterson was seen in a walking boot post-game after injuring his left ankle on a kickoff.

Luckily for Patterson and the Vikings, it doesn't appear to be serious and Patterson was actually out of the boot the next day. Vikings' head coach Mike Zimmer did not seem concerned about Patterson missing their next game (Sunday at home versus the Washington Redskins), or even any practice time either.

Patterson is not even listed on the week nine injury report, meaning the Vikings are not concerned about this injury at all. He will be good to go for Sunday's game without being limited.

Coming off of his best performance of the year receiving wise (six catches for 86 yards), Patterson has a juicy matchup against a banged-up Redskins' defense, who also are on a short week after playing Monday night.

Patterson has been a disappointment this season, both in fantasy and in real football, but the Vikings finally seem ready to get him the ball as much as possible. His 12 targets against the Buccaneers were four more than he's had in any game this season, and he also attempted one rush.
