Warriors Injury Update: Shaun Livingston participated in shoot-around without boot

By on 10/02/2014 03:30:00 PM

The Golden State Warriors opened training camp on Tuesday coming off a season in which they won 51 games, but lost in the first round of the Western Conference playoffs. Only six players appeared in 70 or more games last season. One injured player who is trying to return from injury is guard Shaun Livingston , who participated in shoot-around without a boot.

Our own Dylan Mendelowitz reported on September 27 that Livingston was ahead of schedule in his recovery process but was still in a walking boot and not ready to take the court. He was expected to miss a "couple of weeks" of the regular season.

An update on Livingston, as reported by Rusty Simmons at SFGate.com, Livingston did not participate in the first day of practice. He did shoot free throws following practice without his protective walking boot, but there is no indication when he'll be able to fully participate in practice.

Livingston has played for nine different teams during his nine-year NBA career.  Last season with the Nets, he averaged 8.3 points, 3.2 rebounds and 3.2 assists per game. In 466 career games, Livingston is averaging seven points, 3.4 assists and 2.7 rebounds per game.
