Bears Injury Update: Brandon Marshall, Martellus Bennett, Tim Jennings

By on 11/14/2014 01:30:00 PM

The Chicago Bears were embarrassed on Sunday night - on both sides of the ball - against the Green Bay Packers. With two of their best offensive weapons in Brandon Marshall and Martellus Bennett banged up, as well as cornerback Tim Jennings, the Bears could be in trouble this Sunday when they take on the Minnesota Vikings.

Marshall, Bennett, and Jennings all missed practice on Wednesday, but it appears to have just been a rest day. Jennings practiced in full today, with Marshall and Bennett getting in a limited practice.

With the way the Bears' defense has been playing, losing Jennings may seem more serious than Marshall or Bennett. However, if the Bears are going to win games it will have to be because of their offense, as their defense seems incapable of stopping anyone, whether Jennings plays or not.

The Bears' terrible defense is beneficial for fantasy owners with Marshall or Bennett on their teams, as the Bears will be playing from behind most weeks and forced to throw the ball. This week they face a Vikings' defense that is not imposing, yet has given up the third fewest passing yards per game, and tied for eighth fewest passing touchdowns. Marshall and Bennett are still must-start players, but perhaps expectations should be tempered.
