Bears Injury Update: Team optimistic Brandon Marshall plays week 11

By on 11/11/2014 10:50:00 AM

The Chicago Bears are enduring a tumultuous time right now. To make matters worse, Brandon Marshall just cannot get healthy. Sunday night against Green Bay he injured his left ankle. His right ankle hampered him for a few weeks early in the season, and now it appears that the left ankle may hamper him this week against the Vikings.

Marshall says that this ankle injury is better than the previous one, and that the other ankle injury was more of a high ankle sprain. He also said that he's "going to be out there," so for Bears fans there is some optimism out there to be had.

Marshall's presence on the field alone is a key attribute because of the attention he draws. It obviously has not shown the last few weeks with back to back blowouts from the Patriots and Packers, but he is an essential part to the team. His injury bug needs to go away, though. Time is dwindling for the Bears. There season is on the line come Sunday against the Vikings.

If the Bear lose to the Vikings on Sunday, Bears fans and media will explore every idea and thought that comes to mind, making for a more stressful and dramatic season than it has already been. For some, their pride may be on the line, for others, their job. Now, it is time to see if there is any fight left in Brandon Marshall and his Bears.
