Giovani Bernard, who was sidelined with a hip and a clavicle issue, was back on the practice field for the second day in a row on Thursday as Coley Harvey reported on Twitter:
#Bengals not practicing today: Wallace Gilberry, Vontaze Burfict, Terence Newman. ... Giovani Bernard and Andre Smith ARE practicing.Bernard was a limited participant during Wednesday's workout, but was listed as a full participant on Thursday according to ESPN.com. In the portion of practice open to the media, he was seen doing everything all the running backs were asked to do. When asked why he was sidelined for the long period of time Bernard responded, "The reason I was sitting out is because I felt like crap." He seems to be feeling better and should be good to go on Sunday.

Bernard had accumulated 446 yards on the ground, adding five touchdowns in the seven games he appeared in for the Bengals prior to being injured. In his place, rookie running back Jeremy Hill carried the load and performed admirably. Offensive Coordinator Hue Jackson said Hill, who rushed for 361 yards in the three games Bernard missed, has earned himself some carries going forward. It appears there will be a work share in the backfield for at least a couple weeks as Bernard eases back into the offense.
Fantasy owners should limit their expectations of Bernard for the next week or two, but he is a solid running back capable of having a big game during any week.
