Bills Injury Update: Sammy Watkins, Fred Jackson, Ron Brooks

By on 11/12/2014 11:30:00 AM

The Buffalo Bills and Miami Dolphins meet on Thursday Night Football in a battle of 5-4 teams competing for playoff position. The Bills, who have had several significant injuries, particularly on offense, got a full practice out of rookie wide receiver Sammy Watkins on Tuesday. Fred Jackson and Ron Brooks were both limited for the Bills, according to NBC Sports PFT, as they prepare for the AFC East match up.

Rookie standout receiver Sammy Watkins has been a vital part of the Bills offense, but has been slowed by a groin injury. He missed some time in practice prior to week 10, but was able to play Sunday. His full participation in practice is a good sign the Bills leading receiver should be ready to go Thursday night.

Running back Fred Jackson was also active this past Sunday after missing several weeks with a groin injury. He was limited to just three rushes for 10 yards, but added four receptions for 39 yards. Jackson is still trying to get to 100% and his availability should be monitored on Thursday as game time approaches.

Cornerback Ron Brooks (groin) and wide receivers Marcus Easley (knee) and Marquise Goodwin (ribs) were all limited on Tuesday. Defensive end Jarius Wynn (knee) was the only Bill to sit out practice.
