Chicago Blackhawks head coach Joel Queeneville stated that forward Patrick Sharp is expected to return Wednesday, Dec. 3 in time for a central division matchup with St. Louis, according to ESPN Chicago on Twitter.
Sharp, 32, was helped off the ice early in the third period of the Hawks' 5-0 victory over the Montreal Canadiens on Nov. 4 at the Bell Centre.
He was injured when Montreal Canadiens F Alexei Emelin hit him along the boards.
Sharp resumed skating over the weekend, and should be ready to resume play after another week on the ice. He had nine points in 13 games earlier the season and 78 points in 82 games last season.
