Blue Jackets Injury Update: Boone Jenner likely to return Tuesday

By on 11/03/2014 08:09:00 PM

The Columbus Blue Jackets are likely to get center Boone Jenner, one of their top 10 total point producers from the 2013-2014 season, back in the lineup on Tuesday against the Carolina Hurricanes.

Brian McCormack from reported that Jenner returned to full practice on Monday morning and looks ready to make his season debut on Tuesday. In September, he suffered a broken bone in his hand that delayed the beginning of his 2014-2015 season. During the 2013-2014 season, he scored 16 goals and had 13 assists in 72 games. Last season was his first full season in the NHL.

The Blue Jackets are 4-7-0 and near the bottom of the Metropolitan division standings. The team has lost five games in a row and only scored an average of 1.6 goals in these past five games. The potential offense that Jenner brings will be a welcome addition to the overall goal production for the Blue Jackets.
