Bruins Injury Update: David Krejci will miss second straight game with hip injury

By on 11/04/2014 01:06:00 PM

The Boston Bruins will be without center David Krejci for the second consecutive game on Tuesday night. He is nursing a hip injury and will be unavailable tonight against the Florida Panthers.

Sportsnet reported that this injury has been deemed minor and should not keep Krejci out of the lineup for a significant amount of time. Despite only playing in nine of the Bruins first 13 games, he is the Bruins' second leading scorer with three goals and six assists. One of his season highlights was the game-winning goal he scored against Toronto on October 25. He led the team in total points during the 2013-2014 season with 69 in 80 games and is crucial to their overall offensive production. Thursday’s game against the Edmonton Oilers team is a realistic potential return date for Krejci.

Boston is currently 7-6-0 heading into tonight’s game.
