Bruins Injury Update: Krejci does not travel with team, will miss next two games

Boston Bruins forward David Krejci will miss the next two games as he continues to deal with an ongoing undisclosed injury, according to coach Claude Julien.

Krejci has missed six games this season and has not been on the ice since last Thursday’s 5-2 win over the Edmonton Oilers at TD Garden. The Bruins are in the midst of a five-game winning streak, and travel to Toronto and Montreal for their next two games on Wednesday and Thursday.

“David’s not going to make the trip, so he’s definitely out for the next two,” Julien said after the team’s 35-minute practice Tuesday at Ristuccia Arena. “He’s still, as far as I’m concerned, day-to-day.”

Julien would not say whether the decision to keep the team’s top-line center in Boston has anything to do with Krejci’s injury getting worse, or whether it is only for treatment and rest.

“I can’t tell you. I’m not going to comment on that injury, but there’s a lot of speculation out there, and I can say the speculations that are out there are wrong,” Julien said.
